Equipped with a 3840 x 2160 resolution panel that covers 98% of the DCI-P3 color spectrum, and boasts 160Hz refresh rate with a 1ms response time, this monitor can be the perfect centerpiece to your work and play setup.
Thanks to MiniLED technology, local dimming zones are even smaller and more granular than ever before. With local dimming activated you can obtain extraordinary HDR performance with a contrast ratio of 50,000:1.
Using a Quantum-Dot enhancement film, colors are more vibrant and can emit an even more precise amount of light, leading to stronger color reproduction and wider color gamut, making it perfect for color accurate work.
Reach an advanced level of clarity for everything you watch. MiniLED's improved display technology brightens whites and darkens blacks for an HDR picture that has an unprecedented level of picture quality. The Tempest GP27U can reach 600 nits of peak brightness in SDR mode, or 1200 nits in HDR mode. This is how MiniLED shows all your favorite content in a whole new light.
Adaptive Sync ensures smooth, lifelike gameplay that accurately reproduces a level of realism to everything you play. By synchronizing the frames outputted from the GPU to the refresh rate of the monitor, you can experience tear-free gameplay that is smoother than ever.
Tempest GP27U uses the latest Ultra-Speed IPS panels which is up to 4x faster than traditional IPS panels. Combined with carefully tuned overdrive profiles, the pixels transition faster to other colors and scenes, while minimizing overshoot for exceptionally smooth picture quality with significantly less motion blur or smearing. Not satisfied with any of the overdrive presets? For the first time, you can completely customize the overdrive level of your monitor within the OSD menu from values 0 to 100 for an even more fine-tuned experience.
Protect your eyes from potentially harmful blue light with Low Blue Light Mode. The Tempest MiniLED series are also flicker-free, further reducing any eye strain and allowing you to get more work or gaming done.
With two full-bandwidth HDMI 2.1 ports, equivalent to 48Gbps, the Tempest GP27U completely supports consoles like the Xbox Series X and PS5 at 4K resolution, 120Hz refresh rate without the need for any Display Stream Compression (DSC), making it a future-proof monitor for years to come.
With a built-in KVM switch in the Tempest Monitor series, you can easily control an extra device such as a laptop, another desktop, tablet, or a phone using only a single set of a keyboard and mouse. With a simple toggle in the OSD menu, you can seamlessly swap controls to your second device for ultimate multitasking.
Customize up to 5 different color profiles for different use cases. In FPS games, you may want to increase the Black Level Stabilization to better see enemies in the dark, whereas in a RPG game or a movie, you'd prefer to have the blacks stay darker for more immersion. The choice is yours and you can tailor 5 different profile settings to whatever situation you may encounter.
