Add an M.2 SSD to a PS5™ console*
The below SSDs meet the recommended specifications listed by PlayStation to allow you to install an M.2 SSD in your PS5.
M.2 SSD Cooling
PlayStation recommends that you install an SSD with an appropriate heatsink for cooling.
Using an M.2 SSD with your PS5 console requires effective heat dissipation with a cooling structure, such as a heatsink.
You can attach one to your M.2 SSD yourself, either in a single-sided format, or double-sided format.
There are also M.2 SSDs that have cooling structures (such as heatsinks) built in.
Some of the below PS5 Ready SSDs* include heatsinks built in.
If the SSD does not include a heatsink, you will need to purchase your own heatsink and install it prior to installing in your PS5.

Please do your own research before buying and thoroughly read the PlayStation article linked above.
