PRE-PURCHASE INFO
Important RTX 40 Pre-Purchase Information
Please read the below information prior to placing an order for a new RTX 40 Series graphics card.
Before purchasing an RTX Series GPU make sure the graphics card is compatible with your Case and Power Supply as any damage caused due to incompatibility won't be warrantable.
Graphics card specifications vary across each card. Be sure to check out the details on the product page of the card you are going to purchase for specific information regarding power rating and size requirements.
1. Check your power supply

The recommended power supply requirements from Nvidia are:
- RTX 4090: TGP is 450W with a minimum recommended PSU of 850W
- RTX 4080: TGP is 320W with a minimum recommended PSU of 750W
*Above recommendations are based on the Nvidia Founder's Edition card, we recommend researching the power requirements of your graphics card and power supply prior to purchase.

Power Compatibility Option 1.
3x or 4x PCIe 8-pin cables from PSU to GPU using Power Connector Adapter

Power Compatibility Option 2.
1x 450W or greater PCIe Gen 5 power cable direct from PSU
2. Check your case
There are a few requirements that you need to take into account when purchasing an RTX 40 Series graphics card:
- You may need up to 4 expansion slots available depending on the GPU you are purchasing.
- Measure your case to ensure the RTX 40 Series graphics card will fit. Due to the increased size of the card, your case may not be compatible with the graphics card.
PLEASE NOTE: A clearance space of 36mm is required on top of the connector to avoid issues that may arise from bending of the adapter or power cable.

Up to four unused expansion slots.
This varies depending on the graphics card you are purchasing, however reserving clearance around the graphics card equivalent to an unused expansion slot will typically improve airflow.

Clearance: Above figures are based on the RTX 4090 Founder's Edition, but you will need to check the specific measurements for the graphics card you are looking to purchase.
Plan 36mm additional space for power cables and/or adapters.
